This hangar featured deep, wood framed wall cavities spaced 16 inches on center. The cavities were approximately 10½ to 11½ inches deep, providing an excellent opportunity for a dense, consistent spray foam installation. Three inches of closed cell foam were applied throughout, creating a continuous thermal barrier while also adding rigidity to the framing.
Because of the building’s large front opening—nearly 30 feet wide—the structure needed to remain solid and stable. Closed cell spray foam contributes to that strength, helping reduce movement and improving overall durability.
The spray foam phase of this project was completed successfully, and the owner expressed satisfaction with both the look and the performance of the installation. The clean finish and solid feel of the walls reinforced the value of choosing spray foam over traditional insulation methods.
