To program a garage door opener, locate the “Learn” button on the motor (usually near the antenna wire). Press and hold the button until the indicator light turns on or blinks. Within 30 seconds, press the button on the remote control you want to program. Wait for confirmation: The motor’s light will blink or you’ll hear a click, indicating successful programming.

Look for a button on the garage door opener system labeled “home” or “learn”. The manufacturer and model of the system you’re using will determine where the button is positioned. However, the button is often positioned on the main system, which is situated in your garage’s ceiling and adjacent to a little LED light.
